We were recently asked to write a review about the SMOK Nord 4. Many thanks tovape supplyfor contacting and sending you the latest SMOK version.

As a big fan of the original, we took the opportunity to test the new one.Kit SMOK North 4.

Interestingly, there is no SMOK Nord 3... SMOK bailed outNordic originals, for the Nord 2. Then came the Nord X and now the new Nord 4!

I've been using the SMOK Nord 4 as my all day vaporizer since it arrived almost 3 weeks ago and I can't find a single fault!

SMOK North 4 | design and appearance

SMOK has pushed the boundaries with the Nord 4 - the design and build quality are fantastic. It's slightly larger and heavier than the original Nord, weighing 115g and measuring 33.7mm x 24.4mm x 104.9mm. It's the heaviest pod I've ever used, but it feels sturdy, well built and reliable in hand.

The SMOK Nord 4 comes in either the standard design or the leather series, which is slightly larger and heavier. VapeSourcing sent us the default theme in the red and white color option.

As you can see from the pictures it's a very well designed and aesthetically pleasing pod, definitely something I enjoy vaping!

The Nord 4 is similar in design to the original Nord, with a rectangular zinc alloy body, slightly rounded edges/corners and smooth plastic faceplates on both sides.

It's super comfortable to hold and looks like it will survive anything you throw at it. I've dropped the Nord 4 several times and it still works perfectly, not that I would recommend putting the vaporizer away!

The body of the Nord 4 has a single fire button and adjustable airflow dials on both sides. This is a really nice feature and really opens up the draw, especially with the 0.16ohm DTL coil!

In the center of the fire button is a small LED battery level indicator that lights up when you fire the Nord. On the side of the device is an OLED display with current battery life, stamina, performance and a puff counter.

At the base of the SMOK Nord 4 is the USB Type-C charging port. The 2000mAh battery is a big selling point - even with higher wattage, the Nord 4 has fantastic battery life!

Overall I'm really impressed with the design of the Nord 4. The OLED screen is very handy, the Airflow wheels offer fully adjustable traction, and the Nord 4 looks and feels good.

SMOK North 4 capsules | Project

ÖSMOK North 4 capsulesThey look just like the original Nord pods: a clear plastic body with a fixed plastic drip tip and a detachable coil head that snaps into the pod's base.

The beauty of the Nord pod design is that you don't actually have to replace the actual pod. If you need to change the coil, simply remove it and insert a new one into the bottom of the pod.

The kit that VapeSourcing sent me contained two modules and two coils: the SMOK Nord 4 RPM 2 Module with a 0.16ohm DTL Mesh Coil and a SMOK Nord 4 RPM Module with a 0, 4ohm DTL coil.

The SMOK Nord 4 RPM Pod is compatible with other RPM coils and the RPM 2 Pod is compatible with other RPM 2 coils. That means if you own the original SMOK Nord and have a few coils lying around, you can easily use them so the Nord4!

The pods hold 4.5mL of e-juice (2mL in TPD compliant ranges) and are refillable via a red rubber stopper on the side of the clear plastic body. The pods are smoky black and transparent so you can see how much juice is left. The pods are also very easy to fill and I'll show you how to do it later...

There are 4 small magnets on the bottom of the pods to hold them in place when attached to the device - they fit perfectly and the pods connect with a satisfying click, with no rattling or wobbling.

Overall I'm really impressed with the design of the Nord 4 pods - they differ only slightly from the design of older Nord pods and as the saying goes "if it ain't broke don't fix it". He'.

SMOK North 4 | Performance

In terms of performance, let's break down to the two pods/coils that come with the kit:

RPM 2 0.16ohm DTL

turned theCaliburn,SIZEmiNphix DRAGONlast year, all of which are MTL-style pod systems. Eager to try the high-performance DTL vaping setup in the SMOK Nord 4, I decided to go with the RPM 2 0.16ohm Pod/Coil first.

First things first, the airflow is insane! It's like vaping in a dripper and is fully adjustable via the airflow dials on each side of the device. When the airflow is fully open, it's a very airy design, perfect for chasing clouds.

Vapor and flavor are excellent, way better than I expected from a pod system! Especially with the increase in performance! Steam in particular is amazing, so much so that you'll wonder if it's worth getting your RDA and box mod again.

The coils' shelf life is brilliant - around 3 weeks before you start to experience a mild taste and the occasional burnt taste.

I am very impressed with the RPM 2 0.16ohm and will definitely be buying some spare coil heads!

RPM 0.4ohm DTL

The 0.4ohm coil airflow with the airflow dials half open was the perfect hit for me, something I expected after using the original SMOK Nord. Not too tight but not too loose. Of course, it's fully adjustable, so you can play around until you find the perfect tie for you.

The flavor and vapor produced by the 0.4ohm pod/coil is also up to date. After using the 0.16ohm DTL coil for the first time, the 0.4's flavor and vapor worked -Ohm coil is a bit lackluster in comparison. But after going back to KOKO for a few days, I can say that the flavor and vapor production are on par, if not slightly better.

Coil life is great, up to about a month before I felt the need to replace the coil.

Overall, the RPM 0.4ohm and RPM 2 0.16ohm pod/coil setup worked perfectly. Great taste, great vapor and amazing coil life. I've been really impressed with the SMOK Nord 4 so far - it's pretty much everything you could want in a pod system in one device!

SMOK North 4 | battery power

The SMOK Nord 4 is powered by a 2000mAh internal battery that is charged via the USB Type-C port on the bottom of the device. This is quite a large battery compared to other pod systems and when you vape at low to medium wattage the battery life is amazing!

BUT the SMOK Nord 4 is adjustable up to 80W. So, of course, if you vape at higher wattages, it will drain battery capacity much faster.

For me, the battery life was way better than any other pod system I've tested - vaping at around 25W gives me at least a full day of pretty intense vaping before needing to recharge.

Thanks to the OLED screen, you can see how much battery is left. And while charging, the OLED display shows you how much time is left before the battery is fully charged, a nice little feature.

The Nord 4 is also pass-through capable, meaning you can vape while charging. The Nord 4 takes up to 80 minutes to charge, which can be a little tedious if it's your only device.

Charging the SMOK Nord 4

Charging the SMOK Nord 4 is easy: just plug the charging cable into the USB Type-C port on the bottom of the device and plug it into a suitable power outlet.

As I said before, please wait about 80 minutes for the SMOK Nord 4 to fully charge. A quick glance at the OLED screen while charging shows you how much longer you have to charge before the battery is full.

Fill SMOK Nord 4 capsules

The RPM and RPM 2 modules fill up in exactly the same way, and it's very quick and easy. Simply pull the pod out of the Nord 4, open the red rubber stopper on the side of the pod, and you're ready to fill with your favorite juice!

When you're done filling the capsule, put the rubber stopper back on and make sure it's secure. Place your pod back into the Nord 4's case and give it a few minutes to sit on its own before firing. This gives the wick time to fully saturate and prevents blow dry!

Mudando or SMOK Nord 4 Pod/Coil

Replacing the coil is also very easy: simply remove the pod from the Nord 4 and place a fingernail under the edge of the coil at the base of the pod. You'll need to give it a good tug as it's pretty secure!

After removing the coil, simply insert a new coil head and you're done! Just remember to give the new coil a few minutes after you fill the pod with e-juice... If you fire before the wick is fully saturated you risk a dry hit.

DRAGON North 4 | Price

At the time of writing, the SMOK Nord 4 will set you back around £/$30, not a bad price considering it's an MTL and DTL pod system in one!

Replacement RPM/RPM 2 pods and new coil heads are a bit pricey, which is a shame. BUT, to be fair, you get really decent coil life with the two coils included in the kit.

Verdict

Overall I'm really impressed with the SMOK Nord 4 - fantastic vapour, great flavor and MTLÖDTL Coil Options With Adjustable Airflow - What's Not To Like!

If I had to choose, I would say that I prefer the Nord 4 as a DTL pod system - the huge cloud of vapor is really impressive and the flavor is definitely spot on!
