After leaving her role as Sinead O'Connor on Channel 4's Hollyoaks in 2019, actress Stephanie Davis appears to be back in soapy territory as she joinsCoronation Street!
Stephanie is also credited for starring in "Over the Rainbow" andfamous big brother, joins the iconic soap opera as Courtney Vance in a gripping story that will shake the cobblestones.
Speaking of her new role, 30-year-old Stephanie said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Coronation Street in the role of Courtney Vance. I have always watched and enjoyed it growing up. is an honor to be part of Britain's greatest soap opera, and this is in the hearts and homes of so many."
Stephanie isn't the only new face on the cobblestones, with actor Ryan Early joining the cast as one of Dave Allahan's business partners and Courtney's husband, Darren.
In the next Hot Summer storyline, Stephanie's character Courtney has her sights set on a toyboy lover, Dave's son Adi Arahan.
Iain MacLeod, producer of Coronation Street, said of the new cast: "In Stephanie and Ryan, we've cast two fantastic actors for this fun, fiery catalyst for the plot. Despite finishing seventh in the competition, Stephanie landed a regular role on the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, playing the character of Sinead O'Connor between 2010 and 2015.
Stephanie then signed up for the 17th season of the Celebrity Big Brother series in 2016, and although she had a boyfriend before entering the house, she made headlines for falling for co-star Jeremy McConnell. After finishing the show in second place, Stephanie and Jeremy continued their relationship outside, and Stephanie welcomed a baby boy named Caben-Albi in January 2017.
As fans may know, Stephanie's relationship with Jeremy soured and the two split up, with Stephanie opting to retire from showbiz for several years.
In 2018 Stephanie moved back to Hollyoaks and left a year later. Her upcoming role on Coronation Street will be her first major role since then, with her debut set to air later this year.
